This is the needle threader unit for many Brother mid range computerized sewing and embroidery machines, including the NX, NQ, PC and PE700 families. It mounts beside the needle bar, and its small hook passes through the eye of the needle to pull the thread through when you lower the threader lever. Replace it if the hook is bent or the threader no longer catches thread.
